During my time as front-line clinical technologist, I noticed many opportunities to improve; however, it was during my time as my father's caregiver that I encountered the many inefficiencies first-hand.  I have been determined ever since to affect change in my field.

This quote is on my desk as a reminder at all times. Whether I'm learning a new skill or kick-starting a new project, this quote has always driven me forward. 

My biggest pet peeve are workarounds and the statement I like the least is "we've tried it before and didn't work." No matter how big or small, I always strive to understand the root cause and solve for inefficiencies.

Current membership with Project Management Institute (PMI), continuing education modules, conferences and seminars, networking, podcasts, mentors. 

My 20+ years of front-line technologist experience has given me the opportunity to understand the clinical operations. I am able to see the full picture and draw on my personal experience as I navigate healthcare project management. 

While administering bed-side care, I was able to reach one patient at a time. As a project manager, I am able to affect change on a much larger scale, affecting patients, staff, and the organization as a whole. 

I love to travel and take care of my dog, Sully.
